A Week In The Hospital, Nani Wijaya Can't Be Visited By Fellow Artists

JAKARTA - For seven days, senior actress Nani Wijaya has been at Fatmawati Central General Hospital for intensive care after experiencing shortness of breath on Wednesday, March 1 in the morning.

Until now, none of the fellow artists allowed by the hospital to meet directly Nani Wijaya. So far, only families have been allowed to meet the role of Emak Eti in the Bajaj Bajuri sitcom.

"Yes, it's still the family who can enter. Because they are still in the ICU, all of them are examined intensively because their mother's condition is still unstable," said Nina Kartika when contacted Tuesday, March 7.

The child said that Nani Wijaya's unstable condition and was still not fully aware that the medical equipment was still attached to the body of the senior actress.

However, Nina said that her mother's condition had improved from before. Blood pressure and hemoglobin that were previously in good condition have started to normalize. The condition of the lungs which causes the mother to have difficulty breathing is also gradually improving.

"Alhamdulillah, my mother's HB (hemoglobin) has increased, her blood pressure has also gradually returned to normal. The condition of her lungs was also the last time she was examined, it was getting better than before," said Nina.

The response given by Nani Wijaya when invited to communicate also shows developments compared to last week. Currently, the 78-year-old actress can open her eyes and move her hand.

"If we invite communication, there will be a response from the movement of his fingers. Mother can also open her eyes, thank God," concluded Nina Kartika.

For information, several fellow artists who had competed acting with Nani Wijaya had visited Fatmawati Hospital to visit, but none were allowed to meet the senior actress in person.
