JAKARTA - There have been incidents experienced by a gay man named Thomas Dodd. He shocked the public after changing his name to Celine Dion.
Launching an interview with The New York Post today, Monday, January 4, the man from Staffordshire said that he spent the lockdown period watching the concert of his idol, Celine Dion.
The 30 year old man started drinking champagne and started to feel drunk. To be honest, Dodd didn't remember anything, but he did buy a name change application form for £ 80.
"To be honest, I don't remember doing it. I remember watching a concert and feeling drunk," said Thomas Dodd, who changed his name to Celine Dion.
He only became aware of the incident when official documents were sent to his home. The document states that his name has changed from Thomas Dodd to Celine Dion.
Dion also shared a photo of the document through his Twitter account.
"Enjoyed too much vinos and changed my name legally to Celine Dion," he said.

Some fans were entertained by this action, but not a few thought that this man only wanted the attention of the media.
"He knows what he's doing. He just wants media attention. I'm a Celine fan and I'm not going to change my name to Celine Dion no matter how drunk I am."
"It doesn't make sense. You have to have a reason and have to go to court to change your name."
Thomas Dodd, who changed his name to Celine Dion, has not thought of a plan to change his name again. On the other hand, Celine Dion doesn't seem to have responded to this incident.
