So What Becomes LOONA's First Project In 2020

JAKARTA - Today, February 5, K-pop group LOONA is back with a mini album titled [#] with the main track So What. Since the release of the teaser, this group has always been trending because their fans have waited for them. So What will be their first project in 2020.

Through a music video, LOONA featured twelve members compactly perpetuating Hook I'm so bad. So what? directs them into a group of antagonistic women. This video, which was shot in Thailand, shows the members taking turns dancing and shouting hooks.

This urban track with horn and bass features LOONA's girl crush side as seen from their previous hits. What is different, this time the members appear more fierce and far from the cute concept that characterizes most K-pop girl groups. So What also displays a message to break the boundaries that the world has placed on something.

In LOONAVERSE, the world they created, [#] became the connecting starting point and ending point. It can be seen from the twelfth member Olivia Hye who was reunited with the first member HeeJin in this music video. LOONA wants people to break boundaries and prejudice and not be afraid to challenge themselves.

The main track So What was produced by Lee Soo Man, founder of SM Entertainment. Lee Soo Man is the person behind the hits of Super Junior, EXO, NCT, Red Velvet and others. This is Lee Soo Man's first time producing an artist outside of his agency.

Through today's showcase, LOONA explained that LOONA's Cherry Bomb dance cover video by LOONA caught Lee Soo Man's attention so that he saw the potential for this group directed by BlockBerry Creative and was willing to participate in the mini album.

Apart from So What, there are the tracks THE BACK OF THE MOON, Number 1, Oh (Yes I Am), Ding Ding Dong, and 365 which are on the album [#]. Each track features LOONA's persistence in displaying a different version of themselves and different from their previous songs. The dance pop and R&B genres dominate the tracks in this mini album.

Meanwhile, today LOONA is holding a showcase without fans due to the coronavirus outbreak that is currently breaking out in South Korea. However, the support of Orbits (LOONA fans) is still visible from trending on Twitter which is dominated by LOONA such as # 이달 의 소녀 (Idalwi-seonyeo) #LOONA_SOWHAT, #TheBackOfTheMoon as well as several related names such as Lee Soo Man and member Kim Lip.
