JAKARTA - After eight years of vacuum, Super Girlies is again enlivening the Indonesian music industry with the latest song titled I Miss You So Bad (iMYSB). At this moment of comeback they also introduced a new name; Gliese Super Girlies.

As reported by Paragram.id, Super Girlies is one of the active girl bands in the Indonesian music industry in the 2010s. Now they are present with a new concept. The change in concept can be seen in terms of appearance. In the past, Super Girlies always appeared in colorful costumes. Now, they look mature with their respective identities.

However, the change in concept is not only in terms of appearance but also in the music genre, the new spirit to include the addition of names. Where, they chose the name Gliese Super Girlies. Not without reason, this name change is in line with the new identity to be shown.

"In the past, our agreement was that there were girls, that's because they were teenagers, they still welcomed fun as friends. For now, we choose Gliese so that it is easier to remember, shorter and also to show our new identity which we currently want to show," Sarah said at a press conference in the Gunawarman area., Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, January 29.

Gliese itself has a deep meaning, namely a super earth or habitable planet in another galaxy. This name was chosen according to the new image of a more mature Super Girlies. "So it's really suitable, it's related to us, the Super Girlies are still cute and we want to reborn as something new," continued Kinan.

Furthermore, Kinan explained three reasons why Super Girlies decided to make a comeback after a long hiatus. The main reason is because many fans miss seeing Super Girlies return to work in the music industry.

"Indeed, the first time I saw there was support from the previous Super Friend, I wanted to see us present again as a group, that's what made us motivated. Second, there is our old management, like let's do it again. Third, yes, we are currently given the opportunity," said Kinan.

Even so, this time Gliese Super Girlies only came back with four members from the eight members. However, they did not rule out returning to work with other Super Girlies colleagues. Gliese will be a place for the reunion of the members.

Kinanti also emphasized that the emergence of the Gliese Super Girlies is a new identity that shows itself more at the same time as to prove that a girl band is not only'selling' visuals, but also showing seriousness in producing works as a musician and artist.

"We will show our own identity, appear by being ourselves, we are trying to do it individually and show we are not just girl bands as a visual but we are musicians, artists who work," said Kinan.

Currently, the iMYSB song from Gliese Super Girlies can now be listened to across digital music platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Joox, Resso, Deezer and many more.
