Three Former Judas Priest Personnel Prepare Debut Album

JAKARTA - KK's Priest, a band featuring former Judas Priest personnel: KK Downing (guitar), Tim "Ripper" Owens (vocals), and Les Binks (drums) will release their debut album in 2021 via Explorer1 Music Group.

The band will also play a number of shows next year to mark Judas Priest's 50th anniversary as well as Downing's co-founder career.

On December 24 yesterday, Downing posted a message on his social media.

"Dear Metal Fans, Greetings to all of you! I hope a sincere heart feels the sentiments of myself and the members of KK'S PRIEST.

"We were very disappointed when our summer show was canceled, but we definitely intend to make up for it in the new year with our many concerts and new album releases."

Downing continued. Even though the world is still in the midst of a battle against COVID-19, he believes everything will return to normal next year with a vaccine.

He also thanked everyone at Explorer1 Music, KK's Priest, and Steel Mill for their hard work and commitment.

"I'm sure all of you, like me, are more than ready to say goodbye to 2020. With that, let's look forward to 2021 as I'm sure it will reward our patience and perseverance with some of the greatest music and concerts. We can probably hope . "

As additional information, Owens joined Judas Priest in 1996.He co-recorded two studio albums, namely Jugulator in 1997 and Demolition (2001) - before Priest reunited with Rob Halford in 2003.

Meanwhile, Binks joined Priest in 1977 and took part on two studio albums; Stained Class and Killing Machine as well as a live album titled Unleashed in the East. The drummer left two years later.

Downing left the band in 2011 amid claims of band conflict, poor management, and declining performance quality. He was replaced by Richie Faulkner who was almost three decades younger than him.

KK's Priest itself was completed by guitarist AJ Mills (Hostile) and bassist Tony Newton (Voodoo Six).
