JAKARTA - Frontman Slipknot and Stone Sour, Corey Taylor are very excited about the material he is recording for his second solo album.

Corey began working on the follow-up to last week's full CMFT (2020) album in an undisclosed studio with longtime producer Jay Ruston, who previously worked with Steel Panther and Anthrax.

On Saturday, Corey shared a video of himself driving to the studio to start recording a new album.

"I'm really excited. I mean, this time everything got bigger, man. Everything sounded better; everything went better; everything went hot. Instead of where I came from, this is my goal," said Corey in the video.

"Physically, harder, faster, but there are still a lot of things from the first album. So, there are Slipknot elements, there are Stone Sour elements, there are CMFT elements; there are elements of things I've been doing over the years just, like, cover-wise or whatever, just everything I've always done, we do that.

"We gave it up and everything sounded so good that I can't even explain to you how excited I was to start this. And today is the time. Today is a whole day. So let's go. As seriously as a heart attack, no one is ready for what they will hear. But first of all, we have to record it. "

Earlier this week, bassist Corey Eliot Lunogo also shared several photos from Taylor's last pre-studio and first day of recording Taylor's new album.
