DC Films Will Release Six Films A Year

JAKARTA - DC Films will release six films of which four are to be shown in theaters while two are to be released via the streaming service HBO Max.

DC Films, which is part of the Warner Bros production house, is trying to come up with a new strategy. After Wonder Woman 1984's success on HBO Max, they had plans to share that success evenly.

The films that will open in theaters are films that have a large budget and have the potential to become a box office, such as the sequels to Aquaman, Black Adam, Flash, and The Batman.

Meanwhile, for HBO Max, DC Films will consider films or series that have a small risk of loss. Filmmakers will also link stories from films with series to create a universe.

This release target has been carried out by Marvel Studios, which releases three to four films each year. But the distribution of the release rations was the first for DC Films.

Next year, Marvel Studios has leaked plans to release Black Widow, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, The Eternals and Spider-Man 3.

In addition, Marvel also has series that airs on Disney +, namely WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, and What If…?

DC Films will integrate the universe of stories and this has the potential to present old characters from DC such as Ben Affleck who plays Batman. He could have met Robert Pattinson through this project.

This plan will only take effect from 2022. DC has not mentioned what films and series will be released.
