Similar to Morgan, Catherine Alicia or commonly known as Catheez also celebrated this year's Chinese New Year without gathering with her family. "This year's Chinese New Year's Catheez is not with her parents for the first time, because she is super busy," he said when contacted by the VOI team on Sunday, January 22.

Due to his busy schedule, he could only celebrate Chinese New Year with his younger brother who really stayed with him in Jakarta. However, he took the time to communicate with his family in Surabaya via video call.

"So this year's Lunar New Year's Catheez sleeps with video calls with family. It's the same as waiting for family angpao transfers," he said.

Catheez also took the time to celebrate Chinese New Year with his close friends in Jakarta. Through his Instagram account, he uploaded a photo of himself with Livy Renata wearing traditional Chinese clothes.

Unlike her best friend Catheez, Livy celebrates Chinese New Year with her family, who mostly live in Jakarta. "I'm her Chinese New Year eating at a restaurant with family," she said when contacted.

Through her Instagram account, Livy also uploaded herself who was doing a photo shoot with the original theme. "Happy Chinese New Year. Sorry I haven't been active for the stories," she wrote in the upload.

Zoe Levana

Supermodel Zoe Levana, who has a lot of work in Jakarta, has agreed to gather with her family in Surabaya to celebrate Chinese New Year this year.

However, because of his busy schedule, Zoe had to go through some of the traditions she used to do before. Usually, Zoe celebrates several traditions such as eating together, releasing birds into the air and flying lanterns.

"This year, I didn't participate in releasing the birds, because they were very busy. So we were celebrating the event, just eating with the family," said Zoe Levana when contacted.

Zoe herself assessed that the traditions that exist in Chinese New Year must be maintained. The reason is, Chinese New Year is an important moment for great families to meet each other.
