As It Turns Out, Disney Has Another Version Of The Joe Gardner Ending In Soul

JAKARTA - Disney Pixar just released the movie Soul via the Disney + streaming service on December 25.

The film Soul tells of music teacher Joe Gardner (Jamie Foxx) who dreams of becoming a jazz musician. One day, Joe had an accident that separated his soul from his body.

His soul goes to a seminar called You Seminar where he meets 22 (Tina Fey) to return to the world before it's too late.

If you've watched the movie Soul, you know that Joe Gardner had a satisfying ending. But through an interview with Entertainment Tonight, director Soul, Pete Docter and Kemp Powers and producer Dana Murray told the initial idea of ending the film Soul.

"We have a version where Joe doesn't come back in his body and he should stay dead. We also have a version where Joe is on earth a year later, "said Powers.

They argue because everyone has an opinion about the ending of the movie Soul. As a result, they continued to watch the movie Soul until they found a point of agreement.

“We watched back and forth until the ending at the end of the broadcast. In fact, Joe didn't go to The Great Beyond, "Murray said. They had discussions about Joe's character and life about his mother, Libba. In the story, it feels like cheating to let Joe come back to life but on the other hand, Joe's character has the right to continue to live on earth and carry out his passion.

"I think this film has a good ending because he (Joe Gardner) has to enjoy life the way he wants, because he learns many things throughout the film."
