Raffi Ahmad, Andre Taulany, And Prilly Latuconsina Support Erick Tohir Become Chairman Of PSSI

JAKARTA - Football is one of the sports that attracts the attention of the Indonesian people the most, including Indonesian artists. Most recently, several artists such as Raffi Ahmad, Andre Taulany, Prilly Latuconsina, Baim Wong and Darius Sinatria responded to Erick Thohir who had officially nominated him as Chairman of the Indonesian Football Association (Ketum PSSI).

Raffi Ahmad and Baim Wong even took the time to come and see the SOE Minister nominated himself as chairman of PSSI. Then both of them uploaded the moment on their respective social media.

Meanwhile, with three other artists, Andre, Prilly and Darius responded positively regarding Erick's advancement through their Instagram uploads.

Andre Taulany also celebrated Erick's candidacy. He uploaded a photo with the quote from the Minister of SOEs.

"As a child of the nation, I am called to change things, make the twisted ones straight. What PSSI needs to move forward today is the guts to break through limitations, and dare to create an ecosystem that supports the growth of the national football industry," Erick said in the quote.

Meanwhile, Darius Sinatria, who is known to have liked football for a long time, uploaded Erick Thohir's video while running for office. He also uploaded a long article which in essence contains support and hope for national football if later led by Erick.

Erick himself in his candidacy stated that he was ready to fix Indonesian football, which in recent years has serious issues related to football's'mafia'.

"We have the courage for clean football, as well as outstanding football. In the future, there will be no dirty hands in Indonesian football," said Erick.

Football itself is nothing new for the 52-year-old entrepreneur. Previously he had owned and managed several football clubs from parts of the European continent, America to within the country.

Erick was once President of Inter Milan (Italy), owner of DC United (United States) and shareholder of Oxford United FC (England). Currently, he is also listed as the shareholder of Persis Solo and owner of Mahaka Sports who once held the 2015 Presidential Cup.
