Artist and politician Venna Melinda was surprisingly reported to have reported her husband, Ferry Irawan, for alleged Domestic Violence (KDRT) to the police.

The truth of Venna's report was confirmed by the Director of Criminal Investigation of the East Java Police, Kombes Totok Suharyanto. "Yes, that's right (Venna Melinda reported Ferry Irawan on suspicion of domestic violence)," said Kombes Totok when contacted via chat message on Monday, January 9.

Venna Melinda reported the alleged domestic violence to the Kediri City Police which was then transferred to the East Java Regional Police. "Yes, it is true that sister Venna has reported related to domestic violence at the Kediri City Police. Then the Kediri City Police were transferred to the Regional Police (Renakta Ditreskrimum Polda East Java). Currently, the process is for an initial examination," said Totok.

The domestic violence incident occurred on Sunday, January 8 morning when Venna and Ferry Irawan were at a hotel in Kediri City, East Java.

Head of Sub-Directorate for Renakta Ditreskrimum Polda Jatim Kombes Hendra Julianto also stated that Venna as the reporter had been questioned at around 10:00 WIB. Venna was accompanied by one of her children, Athalla Naufal.

The motive for the alleged domestic violence report is still unknown. Because the investigators are still taking information from the victim (the reporter). Meanwhile, Ferry Irawan, who is suspected of being the perpetrator, has not yet been asked for a warning. However, this afternoon Ferry visited the East Java Regional Police.
