Arctic Monkeys To Work On New Album

JAKARTA - The British band, Arctic Monkeys, is preparing a new album. Arctic Monkeys manager Ian McAndrew shared this news in an interview with Music Week.

“They (Arctic Monkeys) are working on music. At intermittent times, they choose to stay apart and I hope next year they start working on a new song, a new idea, with a release plan. "

According to McAndrew, making music in this situation was very challenging because of travel restrictions and it had an effect on members of the Arctic Monkeys.

"We haven't started a proper job like recording with a full band and it's happened because they couldn't be together."

When asked if they couldn't work through video calls like Zoom, McAndrew laughed. “Looks like Arctic Monkeys don't interact via social media, they don't interact via audio-visual communication. I didn't Zoom with the Arctic Monkeys and I thought I wouldn't! ”

Arctic Monkeys just released their first concert album Live At The Royal Albert Hall last week. This is a follow-up to the Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino album released 2018.

The proceeds from the album sales will be donated to the War Child organization as they do concert ticket sales.

This concert album is a special release for fans. According to McAndrew, fans continue to support Arctic Monkeys even though the band hasn't released new music in two years. On the other hand, McAndrew is reluctant to mention a specific date when the Arctic Monkeys will release new material.
