Yoo Ah In Bantah Becomes A Source Of Itaewon Tragedy Riots

JAKARTA - The government and the police are looking into the behind Itaewon tragedy that occurred on October 29. A theory says that the riots started after an actor was at the scene. Not a few netizens suspect Yoo Ah In is the celebrity in question. Yoo Ah In reportedly went to Itaewon to celebrate Halloween. It is known that the Itaewon area is known for its Halloween celebrations every year. UAA as Yoo Ah In's agency released a statement containing rebuttal to the theory. “Yoo Ah In has nothing to do with Itaewon's tragedy. He wasn't even in Itaewon (at the time of the incident),” the agency told Sports DongA today, Tuesday, November 1. Yoo Ah In is not in Itaewon because he is abroad for a schedule that has not been announced. This makes the theory circulating fake because it doesn't match reality. Yoo Ah In is said to have been a victim of awitch hunt from the Itaewon tragedy which left 156 victims dead. Apart from Yoo Ah In, several BJs and YouTubers are also mentioned in theory. On October 29, the Itaewon tragedy occurred and caused casualties. More than 100 thousand people filled the Itaewon area which caused riots to begin. The South Korean government declared a period of mourning until November 5.
