JAKARTA - Warner Bros Studio has confirmed the release dates of the last two films in the Rurouni Kenshin live-action film franchise with an intense new trailer.
Rurouni Kenshin: The Final is scheduled for release on April 23, 2021 in Japan. The second film, Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning, will be released just a few months later and will hit theaters on June 4, 2021.
The last two films in this franchise will adapt material from the original comic (manga) series that has not been successfully adapted into an animated series (anime), so there will be many fans who are experiencing these stories for the first time.
Rurouni Kenshin: The Final will feature the Jinchu arc, which introduces the new villain Enishi (Arata Mackenkyu), and The Beginning will feature the story of how Kenshin Himura got his legendary "X" scar.
