Petition Calling Amber Heard Out Of Aquaman Reaches 1.5 Million Signatures

JAKARTA - Online petitions asking Warner Bros. to issue Amber Heard are still busy among fans and the public. Reportedly, the online petition has been signed by more than 1.5 million users.

After quitting due to Johnny Depp's defeat in court, the petition page began to get busy after the news of Mads Mikkelsen replacing Johnny Depp for the third film Fantastic Beasts. 1,583,650 signatures were obtained which is half of the main target of 3 million signatures per day, 29 November.

Created by a user named Jeanne Larson, he asked DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. to remove Amber Heard from her role as Mera in Aquaman.

According to him, Amber Heard, who was claimed to be a rude person, was right. Not only Johnny Depp, he was also said to be lying with all his statements against Depp.

"Men are victims of domestic violence, just like women. This must be recognized and action must be taken to keep violence celebrated in the entertainment industry."

However, citing an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Amber Heard was not bothered by the online petition. Instead, he was excited to start filming Aquaman 2.

"I am very enthusiastic about the love and appreciation of fans for Aquaman and Mera, which means we will be back. I can't wait to shoot."

"Rumors and paid campaigns have no effect because they have no basis in the real world. Only fans can make Aquaman and Aquaman 2 happen. I am excited to start filming next year," he said further.

Aquaman 2 is confirmed to start filming next year for the 2020 screening. James Wan will direct, while Jason Momoa and Amber Heard are back in the sequel film.
