Beside Repeated Old Songs In Acoustic Format: Almighty God Megah Album In All Lines

JAKARTA - Bandung-based metal group, Beside, released a new album titled Almighty God via Exterminator Records on September 2 yesterday. This album contains nine metal music compositions that are reproduced into acoustic format.

According to an official statement received by VOI, Sunday, the songs in the late God are an option of old material in the album Against Ourselves (2007) and Eleven Heroes (2015) which they then change.

Beside drummer Achmad Rustandi - familiarly called Beby - revealed that the release of this album was actually a form of their dedication to the metal scene ahead of the 25th anniversary of the band.

"At the same time we want to process our thoughts and provoke the brain to work to make something the best. The biggest inspiration is indeed from the long journey of Beside. Because we have gone through a lot together so far," explained Beby.

The metal material wrapped in acoustic format was previously widely introduced by various rock bands out there. Call it Opeth, Anathema, Paradise Lost, Follow The Sun, and many other names.

So, can the late God be called the first metal album to be acoustic in Indonesia?

"Hopefully that's the case. But I just let the public find the source themselves and decide on that..." said Beby briefly.

All the songs on the album Almighty God are built in a mesmerizing medium tempo. There are excerpts of exciting guitar as well as melodic melodies. Guarded by a strong bass and drum dentum.

Offer clear vocal voices combining growl and clean styles that are increasingly singing. Covered with the sound of orchestras, strings and vocal koor all over the place. All these elements made the material of the late God sound even more epic and magnificent in all lines.

The album late God also marked the return of their old vocalist, Agung Suryana alias Agrog, who had left Beside.
