JAKARTA - Emergency Declaration is the latest thriller film from South Korea. Directed by Han Jae Rim, this film features a number of top Korean actors and actresses.

The story centers on the situation inside an airplane when a mysterious terror approaches.

The film, which premiered at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, is also showing in Indonesia. The following is a full synopsis of the film Emergency Declaration:

The story begins with detective Go In Ho (Song Kang Ho) who receives a report about a planned plane attack by a terrorist. During the investigation, he realized that the plane that the suspect was on was KI501.

On the other hand, a man named Park Jae Hyuk (Lee Byung Hun) is about to start a new life with his son. But he feels angry when he finds out a mysterious man is following him.

Park Jae Hyuk meets pilot Choi Hyun Soo (Kim Nam Gil), his old friend. But Jae Hyuk was surprised when he saw Hyun Soo's indifferent response to him.

Flight KI501 bound for Hawaii departed from Incheon airport. On the way, a man dies for no reason. Airport passengers also suspect that something is hidden from the plane.

Ryu Jin Seok (Im Siwan) also boarded KI501 without knowing the direction of his destination. He even approached Park Jae Hyuk's son for one reason.

A terror broke out in the plane and made the flight crew have to determine a solution. Choi Hyun Soo as the co-pilot takes over and tries to save the passengers on the plane.

Meanwhile, Minister of Infrastructure and Transportation Kim Sook Hee (Jeon Do Yeon) must overcome a terrorist attack on the plane by holding an emergency meeting.

Emergency Declaration is directed by Han Jae Rim who directed The King (2017) and The Face Reader (2013).

The film Emergency Declaration will be broadcast starting today, Tuesday, August 16, at a number of Indonesian cinema chains, namely CGV, Cinepolis, Flix, and Cinema XXI.
