Study: Tokyo Is The Best City To Live In

JAKARTA - A study reveals that Tokyo, Japan is the best city to live in.

According to the Global Finance publication quoted today, Monday, November 16, this ranking is based on several factors such as economy, development, cultural interactions, environment, and the death of COVID-19.

This data is obtained from the Global City Power Index, which displays a viewpoint on life in the city from culture and accessibility. Meanwhile, the number of COVID-19 cases was taken from the Johns Hopkins University and Statista statistics.

Japan is said to have had fewer cases of COVID-19 deaths when compared to the country's population. In contrast to the United States and Britain with cases of COVID-19 which continue to increase.

In addition, the Tokyo government provides many easy access for its people, one of which is a travel subsidy program with a 50 percent discount. As a result, the amount of assistance given to tourists during the pandemic has been increased.

Global Finance also noted that the quality of life for people in Tokyo is much better than that of big cities in other countries. The metropolitan side of Tokyo has always been the center of attention for Japanese society where everything can be found here, including the various inventions and technologies that have been carried out.

After Tokyo, in second and third place are London and Singapore. Several other cities in Japan also followed such as Osaka and Fukuoka.

Jakarta is also not left behind. Jakarta City ranks 42 out of 48 cities as the best city to live in.
