JAKARTA - Ari Lasso announced the good news, he has finished chemotherapy for cancer. Last September 2021, Ari announced that he had cancer. To Deddy Corbuzier, Ari revealed his struggle against cancer.

"So I got a very rare cancer in the spleen. I underwent surgery to remove the organ and the mass from the cancer. Totally. This is the spleen, the tumor is twice as big, it's really big," said Ari Lasso, quoted from Deddy Corbuzier's YouTube channel, Wednesday, September 8, 2021.

Ari Lasso said the cancer was malignant and rare, the cancer in his body was different from most cases. "People usually get lymphoma, the lymph nodes are lumpy, he will often faint, anemia then causes damage to the spleen. For me, it's the other way around. The spleen is cancerous," he said.

"This is case 2 out of 4,000 lymphomas. So I think it will be a journal," added Ari.

To recover, Ari must go through chemotherapy regularly. Now, he has released the chemo port as a sign of 'graduation' from chemotherapy.

"With the completion of the 'small operation' to remove the chemo port, the long series of treatments has ended. I can only be THANKFUL to HIM for this GRACE. My prayers are always given health and happiness. Amen," wrote Ari Lasso.

Chemo port is a tool for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment. A chemoport is a small hole connected to a large blood vessel. Usually used when a lot of blood draws are involved.

Chemo ports are small plates or containers made of plastic or metal with a rubber seal on the top. A thin, soft, flexible tube, called a catheter, drains from this chemoport plate. Its position is facing out of the body and connected directly to the large veins.

A chemo port is usually inserted just below the collarbone or upper arm. They are about a few centimeters in size, creating small bumps under your skin that clothing can cover.

Chemotherapy drugs, fluids, or other drugs can be given directly through this port. You do this by using a special needle that goes into the access point in the port. Fluid or medication flows directly through the catheter and into a large vein. Blood can also be drawn this way.

After recovering, Ari Lasso looks more fresh and fit. Her hair grew back and she was able to work again.
