Prilly Latuconsina Raises A Love Story With Friends In The Dear Stranger Series

JAKARTA - As a producer of Sinemaku Pictures, Prilly Latuconsina is very productive in making series and films. Prilly recently released the Dear Stranger series, directed by Umay Shahab and starring Rey Bong and Ashira Zamita.

Dear Stranger can be enjoyed exclusively on TrueID Indonesia starting July 13, 2022. This series has 10 episodes, where each episode has a duration of about 15 minutes, with a release schedule of two episodes every week.

"TrueID and Sinemaku this time present a love story that is quite complex, but packaged in such a way that it is easy to understand and, more importantly, easy for the audience to feel," said Armando Siahaan, Country Manager of TrueID Indonesia in a release received by VOI, Thursday, July 14th.

Prilly and Umay raised the theme of friendship and love among teenagers. "What if I end up liking my own best friend? If my partner could understand me like my best friend. Did that feeling come from getting used to it? Or is it really him?," said Prilly.

That question became the beginning of the production of this series. "Surely many also relate. Problems that occur between female and male friends are always an interesting thing. That is the reason I wanted to raise this theme. I believe this theme can be an interesting theme for a series," he explained.

Rey Bong enthusiastically welcomed the screening of Dear Stanger. "I became a star in Dear Stranger. This star is one of the characters I've never played before, so this is a new challenge for me as an actor to get out of my comfort zone playing a character as a star, so it's a big challenge. So I excited to live it too," he said.
