There are no complete details about the live action series yet, but this will be the first serial project in the Assassin's Creed franchise. Netflix will work with game developer, Ubisoft for this series.
"We are proud to make the Assassin's Creed series with Netflix and we look forward to making the next battle in the Assassin's Creed universe," said Jason Altman, Ubisoft developer, quoting from Yahoo! UK on the same day.
Assassin's Creed was first released as a game in 2007 against the backdrop of a battle between Templars and assassins during the Third War.
Released in 21 other titles, the game has successfully sold more than 155 million units worldwide. On the other hand, a different response was given to the live action film adaptation.
The film did not produce a box office title and many bad reviews for the film resulted in two sequels that were planned to be canceled.
For the serial version, Netflix is working with the creators of The Witcher so that fans can imagine what the live action format made by Netflix will be.
