Song Kang Ho And IU's Film, Brokerage Releases In Indonesia June 16

JAKARTA - Hirokazu Koreeda's latest film, Broker will be released in Indonesia this week. Following the success at the Cannes Film Festival, this film is singer IU's debut on the big screen.

Broker tells of Sang Hyeon (Song Kang Ho) and Dong Soo (Kang Dong Won) who are running a business. They sell babies abandoned by their parents in the baby box at the church.

One day they want to sell So Young's (Lee Ji Eun) baby. So Young doesn't sell the baby and decides to go with Sang Hyeon and Dong Soo to find new parents.

On the other hand, Sang Hyeon and Dong Soo's business is smelled by detectives Soo Jin (Bae Doona) and Lee (Lee Joo Young). Both are looking for the whereabouts of the two men to solve the case.

Broker was written by Koreeda after working on the film Like Father, Like Son (2013). At that time he also began to get acquainted with Song Kang Ho and Bae Doona.

Film Broker premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. After screening, the film received a standing ovation for 12 minutes.

Song Kang Ho as the main character received the award for Best Actor. This is a history in which South Korean actors won the main Cannes award.
