Today, Wednesday, October 21, the AMI Awards 2020 announced all nominations from the dangdut genre to the hip hop genre. This year, the AMI Awards have increased their entries by 50 percent with a total of 2971 works.

"We are very grateful that the pandemic has not stopped music artists from working. In fact, in the midst of limitations and being required to stay at home alone, creativity has increased," said Dwiki Dharmawan as General Chair of YAMI (Yayasan Anugerah Musik Indonesia) at a virtual press conference on Monday. the same one.

In the selection process, YAMI is divided into two memberships, namely Regular Members and Swara Members.

Regarding the category, the AMI Awards 2020 still adopts the previous requirement, namely that nominations will be made when there are five entries that enter the genre.

There are 53 categories and 2 special awards given to Indonesian musicians and music activists. The two special awards are Legenda Musik Indonesia and Lifetime Achievement.

A number of nominations present various musicians from across generations. Tiara Andini, one of the nominees felt proud and pleased with the nominations she received, namely Best Female Solo Artist, Best Newcomer, and Best Production Work.
