Jeno And Chenle COVID-19, NCT Dream Cancel Beatbox Promotion

JAKARTA - NCT Dream had to cancel their latest comeback promotion this week. The reason is, two of their members: Jeno and Chenle tested positive for COVID-19.

This news was confirmed by SM Entertainment on Thursday, June 2, They explained that this was known after the members did an independent test before their activities.

“Jeno wasn't feeling well before the fansign video and he received a positive result when he took another test. Then he underwent a rapid test with a positive result of COVID-19," said SM Entertainment in a statement.

After that, the other NCT Dream members immediately took the COVID-19 test and the results were negative except for Chenle. The agency also believes the members have received a second vaccine and booster.

"They will stop their activities and self-quarantine according to the rules of the health authorities," he continued.

This has an impact on NCT Dream's activities which will promote Beatbox. The agency said this week, the group will be absent from all promotional activities ranging from music shows, radio, fansigns.

"All NCT Dream activities this week including music shows, radio, and fan signings were canceled so we ask for fans' understanding," he said.

NCT Dream itself has performed Beatbox on the M Countdown stage before stopping their activities.

Their fans, called NCTzen, sent greetings to Jeno and Chenle via social media. Therefore, the names Jeno and Chenle have been trending topics on Twitter since yesterday.
