Testimony Of Amber Heard's Sister Whitney Henriquez: They Say Bad Things To Each Other

JAKARTA - Amber Heard's sister, Whitney Henriquez, testified at the trial, Wednesday, May 18. She said Johnny Depp had grabbed and punched Amber in the face several times in a heated argument about a month after they married.

Heard also punched Depp when they had an argument in March 2015 at their Los Angeles home, Whitney said at the defamation trial involving the celebrity couple.

Heard's 34-year-old sister said the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star asked her to sign a non-disclosure agreement after the incident, but she refused.

In this defamation case, the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star is suing Heard for $50 million, saying his ex-wife tarnished his name when claiming she was a victim of domestic violence. Heard retaliated against $100 million, saying Depp tarnished her name for calling her a liar.

Depp, during the four-day trial in which he testified, denied ever hitting Heard and claimed that Heard was the one who often abused him.

Henriquez testified for her sister on the 18th day of a trial witnessed by seven jurors in Virginia.

Henriquez, who once lived in the same penthouse complex as Depp and Heard, said the couple had a volatile relationship. She said it was fun when Depp was sober, and vice versa.

"If he uses drugs or drinks alcohol there is almost certainly a fight," she said, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, May 19.

She recalled details of the March 2015 incident at the penthouse complex that Depp owned. She said her sister woke her in the middle of the night to vent her feelings that Depp was having an affair and they had a fight.

"They say bad things to each other," Henriquez says.

"Johnny came up the stairs, behind me, kind of hit me from behind. I heard Amber yell 'Don't hit my sister'," Henriquez said, adding her sister then hit Depp.

Henriquez said Depp's bodyguards immediately intervened, but by that time Johnny had grabbed Amber with one hand and hit her in the face multiple times with the other.

The bodyguards separated them, then Depp destroyed some of the items in the kitchen and emptied the shelf containing Heard's clothes.

Depp's lawyers brought experts to trial who testified that Depp lost millions of dollars on allegations of violence, including a $22.5 million fee for the sixth "Pirates" film. Johnny Depp filed a defamation lawsuit in the US after losing a defamation case in London in November 2020 in which he faced The Sun who called him a "wife beater".
