Claiming To Be Victims Of Domestic Violence, Following Are The Key Statements Of Johnny Depp And Amber Heard In Court

JAKARTA - Actors Johnny Depp and Amber Heard claim to be victims of violence in a marriage that only lasted two years. From the defamation trial that is expected to last until the end of May, here are some of the key moments that the two actors revealed.

Quoted from Reuters, Depp testified he never hit Heard or any other woman. Depp said it was Heard who resorted to violence and "bully" him by "calling derogatory names".

"Looks like pure hatred towards me," said Depp. "If I stay there arguing, I'm sure it will turn violent in the end, and it happens a lot."

During a fight in Australia in early 2015, Depp said Heard threw a bottle of vodka that severed the tip of his right middle finger. Depp said he was shocked and wrote Heard a message on the wall using the blood on his finger.

Heard offered a different testimony, while crying in court, he admitted to being a victim of sexual assault that night because Depp inserted a water bottle into her vagina. "I'm scared," he said. "I just married her."

Months later, Heard admitted that Depp broke his nose and caused his hair to fall out during their fight.

Heard's lawyers showed photos they said showed the injuries following the altercation, including cuts to his hands that were visible as he posed on their carpet, redness and swelling around the eyes caused by a phone that Depp threw.

Depp's attorney has shown photos of Heard's public appearances taken during the two's fight and in which Heard appears unharmed.

Depp testified that feces were left on their mattress in 2016. One of his bodyguards said Heard said it was a joke. Heard denied he was involved in the fecal incident and said one of their dogs did it.

Heard said Depp first physically abused him when he slapped him because Heard laughed at the "Wino Forever" tattoo. The tattoo originally read "Winona Forever", a reference to Depp's ex-girlfriend, Winona Ryder.

The jury listened to an audio clip in which Depp threatened to injure himself with a knife in their argument.

"Psychologically and emotionally, that's how I feel," said Depp. "In the end, I was crushed... I think the only answer is here, take my blood, it's the only thing left."

Heard's attorney shows him a text message in which Depp calls Heard a "dirty whore" and says he wants her dead.

In texts sent to Paul Bettany in 2013, Johny Depp said, "Let's drown her before we burn her" and "I will fuck her burnt corpse afterward to make sure she is dead."
