Adipati Dolken And Della Dartyan's Hidden Love In The Cambodian Film

JAKARTA - Adipati Dolken and Della Dartyan are paired again in the Cambodian film. This film will be shown on KlikFilm exclusively starting May 13. This time they become a couple who love each other but can't be together.

Apart from Adipati Dolken and Della Dartyan, this film also stars Revaldo and Carmela van der Kruk. "Here I am a bayu, a writer at a news agency. He is not the type to open up to people, but in his writing. Poetic, deep feelings, and introverted," he said when met at the Falcon Pictures office, Duren Tiga, Wednesday, May 12.

"This character is very different, I like being on fire. While the characters here are holding back, I can't be on fire. I don't like writing, I don't like reading books, this is very different from me," he continued.

Bayu became quiet, according to Adipati, following the current political trend. "In those days, one said a little wrong, one glance could be a problem. It's very different from now, I enjoy in the past era, each era has its own struggles. The way we play is different in each era," he said.

Meanwhile Della becomes Danti, a librarian who lives in the same boarding house with Bayu. They feel they have an interest in each other, but have to be restrained because Danti already has a husband.

"Bayu and Danti are both introverts, don't talk much. Danti holds a grudge inside, because she doesn't know how to talk. Bayu is like looking at himself, because he likes literature," he explained.

Della admitted that it was very helpful for Adipati when he had to shoot in the 50s era setting because Adipati had filmed several times with the past era.

"The challenge is playing in the 50s. This is the first time for me. Fortunately, I have been in a theater with that setting. Thank God it was an advantage. I was facilitated by playing with Dodot, while filming Cambodia. The sets, make up, costumes made us feel more in the era That's it. As soon as I entered the set, the feeling changed in that era. Moreover, Bang Rako also liked to play songs from that era, so it was easy to get into the story," he explained.

Cambodia Synopsis

Cambodia's story is set in the city of Jakarta in 1955. Indonesia has not yet been independent for 10 years. Danti and her husband Sena visited a boarding house belonging to Cik Mei. Danti works in the library while Sena is active in a party. The boarding house only has three rooms.

The first room is occupied by Bayu, a freelance writer for opinion columns and short stories in newspapers. While his wife, Lastri is a singer. The second room will be used by Danti and Sena. Meanwhile, the third room is more often empty, even though it was rented by someone named Erwan. Boarding life feels lonely, when Sena goes out of town for party business. Meanwhile, Lastri also traveled around town to sing at a party's campaign event. Understandably, it was the months leading up to the 1955 elections.

Danti and Bayu hardly ever talk. Every time they passed each other in the hallway or dining room, the two of them just smiled and nodded their heads. As if that was the limit for the two of them. One night, a stifling Bayu brought his typewriter into the living room. It turned out that there was Danti sitting there fanning the heat.

Bayu apologized and wanted to go elsewhere. But Danti prevented, because the air was very hot. The living room is the room with the best circulation, the air flows freely. Bayu smiled stiffly and started typing. He was not aware, when Danti quietly inched away. Bayu submits his writing to the newspaper editor. The editor considered Bayu's writing to be too shallow. The writing was rejected. Bayu is annoyed, decides to go to the library to look for references. He did not expect to meet Danti there. Bayu reads and takes notes, until he forgets the time. Because they passed each other in front of the library when it was closing, Bayu and Danti couldn't help but walk together to return to their boarding house. While waiting for the public bus, they took shelter under a Cambodian tree. They spoke for the first time. Life goes on boring. Danti was waiting for Sena to come home. Bayu was always left by Lastri. Unknowingly Bayu and Danti have a bond, because of similarities. Both feel lonely. They were both ignored. One day, Danti checked Sena's wallet and got a ticket for a trip from Surabaya. In the next room, Bayu accidentally got a ticket for Lastri's trip from Surabaya. Danti talked to Bayu. The conversation revealed the story of Sena and Lastri's affair. Danti and Bayu were devastated by this fact. Even though both Danti and Bayu had many opportunities to do that. But they never took that chance.
