JAKARTA - Salihara Jazz Buzz is back in 2022 and marks a decade of the flagship program of Komunitas Salihara Arts Center which has been held since 2012. The Music Festival which features beautiful performers every year is now preparing to present a new color of jazz music in the country to be able to open the public's insight about this music genre.

For example, there are many new varieties such as free jazz, contemporary jazz, avant-garde jazz and other jazz genres.

“This decade is certainly not as easy as we hoped. Choosing the best musicians so that the audience can attend will certainly require a long discussion, especially how to continue to offer this novelty," said Salihara Community Music Curator Tony Prabowo as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 11.

However, this challenge has become a driving force for Komunitas Salihara to continue working on new themes.

This year, with the theme "Next Sound", Salihara Jazz Buzz puts forward adaptation and creativity and offers newness about the current situation in the form of the reality of a pandemic and the reality of jazz music which can always be fused into evolving genres.

The series of concerts which will be broadcast through the Salihara Arts Center Community Youtube channel will feature four Indonesian jazz musicians, namely Aryo Adhianto, Fascinating Rhythm, Sandrums and Agam Hamzah Project.
