JAKARTA - The film Gara Gara Heritage is ready to be shown in theaters during the 2022 Eid holiday. Gara Gara Heritage tells the story of three brothers who never get along and are forced to compete for the inheritance of a guest house owned by Dahlan (Yayu Unru), their father.

In the family, there is Adam (Oka Antara) who is the eldest son who blames his father's harsh attitude for his life's failures. The second child, Laras (Indah Permatasari) is an independent and idealistic child.

Meanwhile, the third child, Dicky (Ge Pamungkas) is his father's favorite youngest child who has been pampered since childhood and grew up as a naughty young man. This family entertainment film will hit theaters on April 30, 2022.

Ahead of the release of the film Gara Gara Warisan, Ernest Prakasa explained his reasons for entrusting Muhadkly Acho as the director for the film.

"For one reason or another, I didn't have the opportunity to do it. Coincidentally, when talking to Acho, he had a fairly personal story and very much related to this premise. In the end, he developed it," explained Ernest when met in South Jakarta, Tuesday, 19 April.

"I believe because he has sat beside me in two films as a comedy consultant. I trust his input. His perspective and sense in commenting on my decisions can make me read that he is on the right track and ready," he continued. .

On the other hand, Acho explained that apart from entertaining, this film carries a very important message for families. Thus, he was also interested in becoming the director of the film "Gara Gara Heritage".

"The film Gara Gara Heritage is an entertaining family film. Talking about inheritance can involve the views of parents, children, daughters-in-law, and in-laws. I believe this premise is solid and can be used as Eid entertainment," said Acho.

"This film will also feel warm because it carries a message that for me is very important about trust in a family when faced with a big test, in this case inheritance. Because this must always be a question within us, when the time comes for inheritance to be divided, how far your family survive to still love each other?" he added.
