JAKARTA - The band Mocca collaborated with Paras and Realitychain.io to present a new way to enjoy music by holding a concert at Metaverse titled Mocca Love Fest on April 23, 2022, which can be accessed for free without having to buy a ticket.
Realitychain.io Founder Pandu Sastrowardoyo said that the Mocca concert in the metaverse was deliberately presented for free so that as many audiences could enjoy it as well as to make more people literate with the metaverse.
"To enter the metaverse, we make it as easy as possible. In the future, buying and selling tickets is interesting for us to make the system. But for now, we want as many people as possible to join, hopefully, it can reach thousands," said Pandu during a virtual press conference on Monday, April 18th.
In the metaverse, both Mocca personnel and fans will appear in the form of avatars and can interact with each other as if they were at an offline concert. In addition, fans can also enjoy and collect NFT from Mocca.
Paras Digital CEO Rahmat Albariqi said that currently, the metaverse is an innovation that can be a solution for artists if they want to hold concerts during a pandemic.
"This is also a solution for fans who want to attend concerts but cannot physically participate," said the man who is familiarly called Riqi.
As a band that has been present in the Indonesian music industry for a long time, Mocca admitted that they are very enthusiastic to try new challenges through concerts in the metaverse.
According to guitarist Riko Prayitno, the metaverse can be a way for Mocca to continue to advance in the music industry even in the era after the pandemic is over.
"This metaverse world is one way to move forward, not running away because you can't perform during a pandemic. When the pandemic is over, this metaverse can still continue to grow, it won't be extinguished," Riko said as quoted by ANTARA.
