JAKARTA - The Source Music agency said the K-Pop girl group (girl group) LE SSERAFIM is ready to debut in May this year, by presenting a teaser photo of the six group members together.
The new girl group, which will include former IZ*ONE members Miyawaki Sakura and Kim Chae Won, as well as former “Produce 48” contestant Huh Yun Jin, comes with a simple yet elegant concept and style.
HYBE previously announced that its founder, Bang Si Hyuk, would be the executive producer for LE SSERAFIM's debut, while former BTS visual director and TXT creative director Kim Sung Hyun (also known as Nu Kim) would take over as creative director.
The agency also released a new "Casting Call" teaser video from LE SSERAFIM which can be accessed on their official YouTube channel.
Meanwhile, LE SSERAFIM is the first girl group to collaborate with Source Music and Hybe Labels.
As for the members themselves, apart from Kim Chae-won, Sakura, and Heo Yun-jin who previously participated in "Produce 48", there are three other members, namely Eun-chae Hong, Kazuha, and Kim Garam.
Recently, Kim Garam was reported to have been involved in school violence and started appearing in various online communities. However, related to all these allegations, Source Music released a statement denying it.
"We would like to inform you of our position regarding the suspicion regarding Kim Garam, who has been confirmed to debut as a member of LESSERAFIM, the girl group from Source Music under HYBE," the agency said as quoted by Antara.
Furthermore, the agency also said that the allegations contradict the claims. It has also been confirmed through a third-party statement that Kim Garam was a victim of school bullying, including malicious rumors and cyberbullying, when he was in middle school.
In addition, the agency also claimed to have confirmed that rumors such as Kim Garam being a trainee at another agency or him leaking internal documents were not true.
Lastly, Source Music also claims that it will take legal action against any form of defamation of the artist, Soompi was quoted as saying on Sunday as reported by Antara.
