This Is Maudy Ayunda's Duty As Spokesperson For The Indonesian G20 Presidency

JAKARTA - Maudy Ayunda was appointed as the government spokesman for the G20 Indonesia Presidency by the Ministry of Communications, as the person in charge of communication and media for the G20 Indonesia Presidency. As a spokesperson, he is tasked with conveying important information related to the international forum so that young people can understand it.

Behind his excitement as a representative of young people for this important international forum, Maudy had to learn a lot about the complicated G20 issues, then look for a formula so that what he said could be understood by the millennial and Z generation audiences.

"I have to delve deeper into the topic, the priority issues being discussed. I receive (information), study and then present it again. I like reading and studying, so this is an interesting challenge," Maudy said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, April 7.

He has a lot of substance to the Indonesian G20 Presidency that he has to learn about his position as spokesperson. However, he is confident that he can carry out this task because he has an adequate background, namely a graduate of education science.

Maudy Ayunda holds a master's degree from Stanford University in business administration and education. Before agreeing to become a spokesperson, he also asked a lot of questions about his duties to ensure his skills were right for the position.

"When it was explained (his task) was to convey information to millennial and Z generations, I wanted to work on it. With my background in education, I had the opportunity to contribute and return to Indonesia," said Maudy.

Indonesia's G20 presidency will continue until November. Spokesperson for the Ministry of Communication and Information, Dedy Permadi, stated that they had considered carefully appointing Maudy Ayunda as the government's spokesperson for the G20 Presidency of Indonesia.

"Maudy is currently 27 years old, but her achievements are extraordinary. She represents the profile of young Indonesians who can work on the national and international levels," said Dedy.

The appointment of Maudy Ayunda as a spokesperson also refers to data from the Central Statistics Agency, which shows that young people make up two-thirds of Indonesia's population of 270.2 million in 2020. Generation Z's population reaches 27.94 percent of the total population, while the millennial generation is 25. ,87 percent.

Maudy joined the team of government spokespersons for the Indonesian G20 Presidency, the information he conveyed aims to make the G20 issues more grounded and reach all levels of society.

The task that awaits Maudy Ayunda is to convey information related to the Summit, the highlight of the G20 forum attended by heads of state. In addition, he will also convey the agenda of supporting the G20 on a regular basis.
