Dog Movie Review: A Warm Journey With Dogs And Humans

JAKARTA - Actor Channing Tatum is back with a drama film entitled Dog. Not only acting, he also made his directorial debut through this short film.

Tatum collaborated with Reid Carolin, who previously worked with the actor as a producer. Carolin is a producer figure for several films such as Magic Mike, 22 Jump Street, Magic Mike XXL - films starring Channing Tatum.

Dog tells the story of Jackson Briggs (Channing Tatum), a former US Army Ranger who suffers a brain injury. He didn't even get a chance to work until one day his boss gave him a new assignment.

Briggs is asked to bring Lulu, an Army veteran dog from the camp. Lewis-McChord in Washington to Nogales, Arizona. The plan, Briggs and Lulu will attend the funeral of Lulu's former handler.

In the middle of the trip, Briggs felt heavy trauma as well as difficulty connecting emotionally with anyone.

The story may be found in many other films, but the journey of Jackson Briggs and Lulu presents some comedy with a little drama. The interaction between the two colors the conflict they experience.
