Mayong's Remarks At Maura Magnalia's Final Rest: This Is An Ironic Thing

JAKARTA - Maura Magnalia, daughter of the couple Nurul Arifin and Mayong Suryo Laksono was buried on Wednesday, January 26. They took their eldest daughter to the San Diego Hills in Karawang.

Before being buried, Mayong as Maura's father explained that at first they wanted to put their child in a funeral home but it turned into a family residence. This was done because of the large number of guests who had been arriving since yesterday.

“Thank you for coming to release Maura. Colleagues from various circles, coincidentally, her mother has many social circles, from women activists to parties,” said Mayong.

“It turns out that Maura is a friend of elementary, middle, high school, playmates, hobby friends, and others. So there are various kinds of invitations from the mourners who were present from yesterday to today," he said.

Mayong, on behalf of the family, would like to thank all those who have provided continued support after Maura's departure.

"I can only say thank you very much for my family Mayong, my wife Nurul, and the only remaining child Melkior," he said.

“It is strange, parents should not bury their children. This is ironic, it is more appropriate for children to bury their parents. But this time either Maura chose her own path and God preceded us all at the age of 27,” said Mayong.

Maura Magnalia is buried in the San Diego Hills in a Catholic way because she is said to have followed her father's beliefs. Unlike his mother, Nurul, who adheres to Islam.

"We as parents can't get in the way, so we have to let Maura go," said Mayong.
