Maura Magnalia Buried Catholic, Putri Nurul Arifin's Body Departs To Sandiego Hills

JAKARTA - Maura Magnalia, daughter of politician Nurul Arifin will be buried on Wednesday, January 26 in San Diego Hills, Karawang. This morning the family held the closing process of the coffin before leaving for the funeral.

Maura was confirmed to be buried in a Catholic manner. Of course, this is different from the belief held by Nurul Arifin.

It is known that Nurul Arifin adheres to Islam while Mayong Suryo Laksono, the husband, adheres to Catholicism. Even though they have different beliefs, the two seem to have been in a household together since 1991.

Their two children: Maura Magnalia and Melki Mirari chose to follow their father's Catholic faith.

Despite these differences, Nurul and Mayong have great respect for their respective religions. Nurul also has no problem being the only member of the family who adheres to Islam.

Therefore, Maura's funeral procession was carried out in a Catholic manner where since last night, January 25, the family had held a Requiem Mass at Nurul and Mayong's residence.

After the coffin closing procession, Maura's body was taken to San Diego Hills, Karawang accompanied by her closest family and friends.

In addition to the hearse, Nurul and Mayong prepared three buses for the guests who took Maura to her final resting place. These three buses have been provided since the morning so that guests who come can also attend the funeral procession.

Maura Magnalia, the eldest daughter of Nurul and Mayong, died on Tuesday, January 25 due to cardiac arrest. He was found dead while sleeping on the dining table and his body was already cold.

According to Nurul Arifin, Maura is busy taking care of her master's degree while looking for a permanent job. This busyness made Maura lack of rest and felt burdened in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
