JAKARTA - Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka opened his doors wide for filming. With the film, the Solo City Government believes that tourism potential can be maximized. One film that has confirmed itself to be shot in Solo is the film Nagih Promise Cinta.

This film held an open audition for local players at Solo Paragon Mall some time ago. Gibran Rakabuming Raka also shared information on the search for Solo's original acting talent through his Instagram.

Nagih Janji Cinta is a film produced by PIM Pictures with the Solo City Tourism Office. Head of the Solo Tourism Office, Aryo Widyandoko, said that his party would provide support for filmmakers who would shoot in Solo in the form of ease of permits and bureaucracy.

"As long as the goals are good and help promote the beauty of Solo's tourism. What is important is good coordination. In principle, we provide convenience for those who want to shoot in Solo," Aryo said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 19.

The film Nagih Janji Cinta is a romantic comedy film with the majority of the players being famous Indonesian celebrities. There are five characters specially prepared for Solo talents. There is a rich young man named Rere, a kind-hearted nanny named Mbok Sri, and an angkringan merchant named Bejo.

PIM Pictures previously released the films "Pariban: Idola from Java" and "Kurindu Christmas Family: Santa Claus from Jakarta?".

The latest work from PIM Pictures producer, Agustinus Sitorus, will take place in several tourist destinations in Solo. The locations include the Tumurun Museum, Pasar Gede, and the Kampung Batik area in Solo. Later, there will also be several scenes containing tourism exploration in Solo, such as riding the Kluthuk Jaladara Sepur, and taking the Solo Werkudara Double-Decker Bus.

Agustinus said that Solo's young people have great potential and can be brought to the national stage. "The talent in Solo is very good and the enthusiasm of the community is quite high. Judging from the large number of applicants for the casting of several characters," said Agustinus.
