Congratulations, Makmum 2 Almost Followed The Record Of The Best-Selling Film 2021 In 7 Days

JAKARTA - Dee Company producer, Dheeraj Kalwani announced the new audience for the film Makmum 2. In just 7 days of screening the film Makmum 2, there have been 410,224 viewers gathered.

The film Makmum 2 has been released in cinemas throughout Indonesia since December 30, 2021. The horror made by Guntur Soeharjanto brings back the performance of Titi Kamal as the main character, Rini.

On the first day of its broadcast, Makmum 2 managed to gather a total of 46,185 viewers. These are numbers that resemble box office audiences in the pre-pandemic era. The record continued to the fourth day of broadcasting which could pocket 222,000 viewers.

This is a positive start for Indonesian films. How come? The highest record for Indonesian viewers in 2021 is only 445,777.

This number of films took weeks. While Makmum 2 only takes one week.

"I'm really grateful for this. Optimism has risen from day to day since Makmum 2 was released in theaters. Thank you, Indonesian audience. Thank you," said Dheeraj Alwani when contacted Thursday, January 6.

Many hoped that there would be a Makmum 3 sequel. Warganet questioned the possibility on social media.

"The quality of Makmum and Makmum 2 is strictly maintained. We don't want to rush into making decisions," said Dheeraj Kalwani.
