JAKARTA - A documentary film about the life of the late Ronnie James Dio will be released this year.

Co-directed by Don Argott and Demian Fenton, the film features never-before-seen footage and photos from his personal archive.

The widow of legendary rock singer Wendy Dio described the untitled documentary as "very emotional".

"(It) ran his whole life to the end," he was quoted as saying by Loudersound.

“I watched it with my publicist and someone from BMG, who funded the documentary, and we all burst into tears.”

While speaking on The Lucas H. Gordon Show, Wendy revealed that Rob Halford was among the people who contributed to the film.

There are also names like Dio's former Black Sabbath bandmate, Geezer Butler, as well as Jack Black and Lita Ford.
