JAKARTA - Dave Mustaine has released music footage from Megadeth's upcoming sixteenth studio album, The Sick, The Dying And The Dead.

The 60-year-old Megadeth leader shared the clip while recording a new video message on Cameo, which allows users to hire celebrities to record short, personalized video messages on almost any topic.

Speaking to a fan named Gabe, Dave said he was going to play something already recorded and special. "How about you want to hear a little bit from the new album? This is the second track from side one. It's called Life In Hell.

After playing a snippet of the song, Dave added: "This is it. A little surprise just for you, pal. So I think it makes you the first person in the world outside — outside of the studio and the band and my family — to hear any music from a new record."

Mustaine charges $299 for each of his Cameo videos for personal use. As for business use, the price is 2,093 dollars.

Earlier this month, Mustaine revealed that Megadeth's new album, The Sick, The Dying And The Dead, has gone through the mastering stage and will be released soon. The follow-up to Dystopia (2016) is tentatively slated to arrive in the spring of 2022.

In a recent interview with American Songwriter magazine, Mustaine said that the title track The Sick, The Dying And The Dead is about the outbreak, but not just centered on the current pandemic.

The Sick, The Dying And The Dead covers a broader and more historical range of diseases that have plagued mankind throughout time, including the current virus, swine flu, and other epidemics from the past century.

"The song itself is a historical journey of how plague started and where it went, starting with rats on ships carrying disease, landing in Sicily," Mustaine said.
