Starting From Social Media, Stephanie Poetri's Story In Collaboration With Canadian Musician Alex Porat

JAKARTA - Singer Stephanie Poetri collaborated with Malaysian-born Canadian musician Alex Porat on the latest version of the single Miss Sick World, which is taken from Alex Porat's latest EP of the same name.

Their friendship began virtually when the two met on social media. It didn't take long for them to finally become fans of their music for each other. Alex and Stephanie's friendship grew during the pandemic before they finally decided to collaborate.

Stephanie shared that she really loves Alex's songs and this collaboration showcases her abilities as a songwriter and an extraordinary person. The daughter of the famous Titi DJ feels connected to the lyrics in this song.

"The verse that I wrote and sang in this song is about the people around me who often tell me that I have potential and that I can become a great person. But sometimes I want to be accepted and loved as I am, not as a version of myself in the future," said Stephanie in an official broadcast, quoted on Sunday, December 26.

Meanwhile, Alex said Miss Sick World talked about the challenges she faced growing up. This song has a special place in his heart because previously he hid one side of him from everyone.

"I want everyone who hears this song to feel that they are listening to my secret, like someone listening to a friend's confession."
