Reasons Netizens Agree And Sign Petition Boycott Nikita Mirzani

JAKARTA - The petition for a boycott of Nikita Mirzani has been making waves on social media since Monday, December 13. Nikita Mirzani's boycott petition was immediately trending on Twitter with #BoikotNikitaMirzani. Many of the netizens agreed to make the petition.

The petition, which was created on the Change.org site, has now been signed by more than 65,000 people and is trending on Twitter.

The petition was initiated by the Damai Indonesiaku account with the title 'Boycott Nikita Mirzani, the Artist Spreading Hate and Upheaval!'. This petition to boycott Nikita is addressed to Instagram, television stations, and also the Indonesian people.

"An artist named Nikita Mirzani has been making a lot of noise lately. Starting from making noise with fellow artists, insulting Muslims, exposing other people's disgrace that should not be appropriate, doing slander, even victim blaming victims of sexual violence!" the reason the petition was created.

The account felt it was time for a petition to boycott Nikita Mirzani to be called for peace. According to him, a public figure should be able to show good and dignified actions.

"It's time for us to finish and clean up Indonesia from public figures who bring commotion. It's time for us as Indonesian people to become dignified individuals, starting from small things. Even though this petition sounds ridiculous to some people," he said.
