Titane Film Review, Makes No Sense But Pierces The Eye To The Heart

JAKARTA - Watching the film Titane which is the winner of the Palme d'Or or the highest award at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival at Klik Film gives a different experience. The film, directed by female director Julia Ducournau, is a sci-fi thriller genre.

Starring Agathe Rousselle, Garance Marillier, Lais Salameh, Vincent Lindon, and a row of other talented actors. Agathe Rousselle plays Alexia, who has been in a car accident since childhood, due to her father's carelessness.

As a result of the accident, Alexia's head had to be implanted with titanium plates. This plate makes him have a different sexual orientation that feels satisfied if making love to a car.

Alexia's love and interest in cars makes her impatient every time she receives sexual harassment. When Alexia works as a sexual dancer, she gets abused and makes her take revenge cruelly.

As a result of this incident Alexia fled. But the events of the escape made him even more brutal. He did various extreme ways to change his identity to be like a boy.

The movie Titane, which aired at KlikFilm in mid-November 2021, does sound odd, it's unacceptable because humans make love to machines. However, Julia Ducournau tries to offer many interesting things apart from the story of the film itself.

The brutal scenes are shown beyond the limits of humanity. Sadistic, until the eyes refuse to see it. The unexpected ending leaves a deep mark on the heart, it's about how humanizes humans, that's all.
