Arawinda Kirana And Asmara Abigail Give Reasons For Yuni's Film In Cinema

JAKARTA - After traveling to various international festivals, the film Yuni directed by Kamila Andini will be released in Indonesia in early December. This film is one of the most anticipated by the audience because of the story.

Yuni tells the story of a woman named Yuni (Arawinda Kirana), a high school student who wants to go to college. On the other hand, her life is confused when two men come to propose to her.

As the first debut on the big screen, Arawinda admitted that there was a little pressure along with the hectic talk about Yuni.

"It was really stressful, especially when I watched it on the big screen for the first time, I just realized oh my God that's my face on the big screen," said Arawinda Kirana at Epicentrum XXI some time ago.

Arawinda is also juxtaposed with Asmara Abigail as Suci and Marissa Anita who plays Ibu Lis, a teacher at Yuni's school.

“One of the scenes between me and mba Marissa was super intense. I cry just looking by her face. I feel like this motherly figure (I cry just looking at her face. I feel this mother figure) "said Arawinda. Marissa was also happy because she was met with a row of great talents in Yuni's film.

Yuni's film presents the reality that many Indonesians face. Through this film, Asmara hopes that women can find the identity they want.

“For myself, with Yuni, I hope that women are free to choose the version of a good woman for themselves. Everyone has the right to decide whether their version is or not, it is not determined by society,” explained Asmara Abigail.

Marissa also agreed with Asmara's words. For him, men can also enjoy Yuni's film and both genders will understand what this film wants to convey.

“Yuni is a very beautiful film from the way Dini (Kamila Andini) tells the story, the character in the film. This character reflects Indonesian people who are very rich,” said Marissa Anita.

Yuni's film, presented by Fourcolours Films, is one of Starvision's choices to celebrate #BackKeBioskop. Yuni can be seen in theaters starting December 9, 2021.
