RSUD dr. Loekmono Hadi Kudus, Central Java, continues to improve health services by building a new six-story building designed for VIP and VVIP inpatient rooms, as well as equipped with modern hotel and restaurant facilities.

"The construction project for this new building has gone through the bidding stage. Meanwhile, the physical construction will be carried out this year. Currently, the government is still waiting for the announcement of the winning bidder and the objection period before work begins, which is expected to take place in early May 2026," said Kudus Regent Sam'ani Intakoris in Kudus, Saturday.

He revealed that the ceiling value of the project to build the building was around IDR 110 billion.

For the financing scheme, said Sam'ani, it is possible through loans, but it is still adjusted to the financial capacity of the hospital. Later, the facilities built are expected to generate revenue to support loan repayment.

"Because this is an investment in services, it is hoped that it will generate profits which will then be used to pay off financing needs," he said.

The construction of the new building is also in line with efforts to provide quality and friendly health services for all people, as directed by Prabowo Subianto.

Moreover, Kudus Regency has achieved Universal Health Coverage (UHC), so that the majority of the community has been registered in the BPJS Health program.

"The hope is that the service will be better, more friendly, and the people of Kudus will be healthier. In terms of business, the hospital can still make a profit," he said.

Meanwhile, Acting Director of the RSUD Dr. Loekmono Hadi Kudus Mustiko Wibowo added that until now there has been no signing of the project with the winning bidder because there is still a stage after the announcement of the winning bidder, there is a period of objection, a letter of appointment of the provider of goods/services, only the signing of the contract.

From the budget needs of Rp. 91.45 billion, he said, the Kudus Regional Hospital will try to meet it with BLUD (Regional Public Service Agency) funds, even though there is a scheme for borrowing money to banks.

"However, we will first use the self-financing source from the Kudus Regional Hospital BLUD. Later, at the end of the year, we will borrow from the bank," he said.

Based on information from the national procurement website, the construction project was won by PT Gala Tama from Semarang City with a bid value of IDR 91.45 billion.

Later, the six-storey building will be equipped with parking and other supporting facilities, then the I floor of the modern market, the II floor for polyclinics, MCU, and pharmacies, the III floor for medical rehabilitation, aesthetic clinics, and radiology, while the IV floor for hotels and restaurants, while floors V and VI as VIP and VVIP inpatient rooms.

Previously, Kudus Regional Hospital also built a stroke and oncology building which was completed on December 27, 2025. So that the service facilities are more complete to serve the needs of the community.
