PHBS is the Key to Cianjur Health Office to Face the Possibility of Superflu

Cianjur Regency Health Service, West Java, said that the new variant of the Influenza A (H3N2) Subclade K Virus or known as superflu can be overcome by applying a clean and healthy lifestyle (PHBS).

The head of the Cianjur Health Office, Made Setiawan in Cianjur, Tuesday, said that although he had not found a case of superflu in the area, his party asked the public to increase good immunity to avoid various diseases.

"In addition to implementing PHBS, the community needs to increase body immunity by maintaining a nutritious diet and regular exercise, so that it can increase body resistance," he said.

He explained that when the body's resistance is good, the virus will not easily attack, including when doing activities outside the house by applying health protocols by using masks and regularly washing hands.

For quick handling and prevention of the entry of new influenza variants into Cianjur, his party took various steps by involving health workers at health centers and hospitals so that they would immediately report even though there have been no findings so far.

"Until now, there has been no examination that specifically confirms the presence of the virus that has erupted in Cianjur, but we do not rule out the possibility that there are exposed or symptomatic people but it has not been confirmed," he said.

To avoid exposure to the virus and transmit it to others, his party appealed to the public to remain vigilant and consistently implement PHBS, including regularly undergoing health checks at the nearest health service center.

In addition, regular physical activity because it plays an important role in maintaining health and body immunity accompanied by adequate rest and avoiding stress because it can make the body's immunity decrease quickly.

"When you are sick, immediately go to the nearest health center or health service center to get treatment from the officers so that you minimize transmission," he said.

In addition, he said, maintaining the cleanliness of the living environment from piles of garbage that can become a mosquito nest, especially during extreme weather with high rainfall, where the number of patients due to dengue fever (DBD) every month is still high.
