Chinese Researchers Develop Long-lived Pills, Hopes For Human Life To Reach 150 Years

JAKARTA - Have you ever imagined living until the age of 150? A bioscience startup from China claims to have succeeded in making wine seed extract pills that have been able to prolong the human lifespan by more than 100 years.

Lonvi Biosciences, Shenzhen-based startup and focuses on long-lived research, recently announced that it has formulated a pill targeting zombie cells, old cells that are no longer split but still trigger inflammation, so that theoretically it can help humans live up to 150 years.

"This is not just an ordinary pill. This is a big breakthrough," said Lonvi CEO Ip Zhu, quoted from the Oddity Central page.

He added that the main ingredients in the pill not only have the potential to prolong life, but also reduce the risk of aging-related diseases by strengthening health to the cellular level.

Life for up to 150 years is very possible. A few more years, this could come true," said Lyu Qinghua, Lonvi Chief Technology Officer, to the New York Times.

Lonvi's proud pill is based on procyanidin C1 (PCC1), a molecule from a wine seed that has previously been associated with an increase in life in experimental animals. From the results of internal tests, the laboratory rats given the pills live 9.4 percent longer overall and 64.2 percent longer since the first day of treatment.

In 2024, the average life expectancy in China will reach 79 years, five years higher than the global average. The growing interest, both from the government and society, is likely to continue to push the figure up, something quite ironic considering that anti-aging research was once considered unscientific in the country.

"In the past, almost no one in China talked about longevity, only wealthy Americans. Now many Chinese people are interested and have the ability to prolong their lives." said Gan Yu, co-founder of Time Pie, a long-lived research firm based in Shanghai.
