JAKARTA - The problem of stunting is still a major concern in Lebak Regency, Banten. To overcome this, local governments are targeting 45,254 Stunting Risk Families (KRS) in the implementation of interventions by 2025.
This step is part of a great effort to prepare a healthy and productive 2045 Golden Generation.
The Head of Population Control and Family Planning at the Department of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population and Family Planning (DP3AKKB) of Lebak Regency, Tuti Nurasiah, explained that the intervention program was carried out through the Foster Parental Movement to Prevent Stunting or known as the Genting Program.
According to Tuti, the Genting Program is one of the five strategic programs carried by the BKKBN and has started since January 2025. However, so far the program's implementation achievements are still relatively low.
Therefore, support from various parties is needed so that the acceleration of stunting reduction can run optimally in all areas of Lebak Regency.
This program is collaborative and involves many elements of society, including Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD), SOEs, the private sector, religious and community leaders, educational institutions, and the media. Tuti emphasized that the Genting Program is not only the responsibility of the government, but is a mutual cooperation movement that requires the involvement of all parties as foster parents for the KRS.
