Worried About The Future Of Children, Menduk Proudly Invites Genre Ambassadors To Promote GATI To Prevent Fatherless

Minister of Population and Family Development (Mendukbangga)/Head of BKKBN Wihaji invites the Planning Generation Ambassadors (Genre) to participate in promoting the Indonesian Exemplary Father Movement (GATI) to prevent the phenomenon of fathersless.

Fatherless or the absence of a father's role, according to him, can weaken children's leadership and resilience in facing challenges.

"Children need a father's presence, not only physically, but also emotionally, for that, Genre needs to participate in promoting GATI as our effort to encourage the father's involvement in raising children," he said in an official statement in Jakarta, Wednesday.

He explained that GATI was designed as an educational movement involving fathers in the family through various socialization activities, especially in communities, schools, and Quality Family Villages (KB).

In addition, preparation before marriage and understanding of the responsibilities after that are also important to continue to be campaigned by Genre, which can be an inspiration and provide solutions for peers.

"I want every visit to meet Genre, because they are the next generation of Indonesia's future. They must be an example for their friends to stay away from early marriage, free sex, and drugs," he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the East Java Genre Forum M. Suma Firman conveyed the concrete contribution that Genre had made in the community, one of which was a social action entitled "Share Youth Youth" to distribute aid worth more than 103 million rupiah to families at risk of stunting, pregnant women, and orphans ahead of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.

"We are also actively collaborating with students through the NU Student Association to distribute education to Islamic boarding schools and madrasas," said Suma.

The dialogue is proof that Genre is not just a program, but a social movement by young people towards the 2045 Golden Generation.
