JAKARTA - The Free Health Check Program from the government was positively welcomed by some residents in Indonesia. For example, residents of Kediri City, East Java, have started to take advantage of the free health check services available at local health centers.

This program aims to provide access to basic health checks to the public free of charge.

Acting Mayor of Kediri, Zanariah, appreciated the public's enthusiasm for this program. According to him, this free health check is basic and aims to detect a person's health initial condition. If an indication of health problems is found, the patient will be directed to a first-level health facility for further examination.

"I really appreciate this program, and I am happy to see people starting to use it. This examination is important to detect health conditions early on. If there are certain symptoms, patients can immediately be referred to more complete health facilities," said Zanariah in Kediri, as quoted by ANTARA.

He also appealed to the public not to hesitate to carry out health checks at the puskesmas. By conducting regular checks, residents can find out their health condition early and get the right treatment if needed.

This program has been socialized through various media, including official accounts belonging to the Kediri City Government, so that more people know and use it.

"Because this inspection is free, I hope the public will not waste this opportunity. Registration is also easy because it can be done online. After registering, people only need to come according to a predetermined schedule," he added.

In order to ensure the smooth running of the program, Zanariah also reviewed several health centers in Kediri City, including the UPT of the Campurejo Health Center and the Mrican Health Center. This visit aims to ensure that services to the community run optimally and check available facilities.

According to him, the facilities at the two health centers are quite complete, including dental and oral examination services, maternal and child health, public services, as well as examination rooms for people with disabilities and the elderly. In addition, there is also a nutrition room, laboratory, emergency emergency unit (UGD), and inpatient room at the Mrican Health Center.

"I see that the facilities and service rooms at the puskesmas that I visited are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. In addition, medical officers also provide good service to the community. This is a positive thing that needs to be maintained and improved," he said.

He also encouraged the auxiliary health centers in Kediri City to be more reactivated, so that the reach of health services could be wider and easily accessible to the public.

"I hope that the existing auxiliary health centers can be used even more. Some of the auxiliary health centers that I visited have adequate facilities, so they can play a more active role in providing health services to the community," he explained.

During the visit, Zanariah was accompanied by a number of officials, including the Head of the Kediri City Health Office, dr. Muhammad Fajri, the Head of the Kediri City Baresbangpol, Indun Munawaroh, and several other relevant officials.
