The tricuspid valve has the function of regulating the flow of blood from the right atrium to the right ventricle. The tricuspid also prevents blood flow from flowing in reverse.

Pulmonary valve

This valve separates the right ventricle and the pulmonary artery. This valve allows blood to be pumped from the right ventricle to the pulmonary artery. It has an artery leading to the lungs, where the blood gets its oxygen source. The function of this valve is to prevent blood from flowing from the pulmonary artery to the right ventricle.

Mitral valve

This valve (bicuspid) separates the left atrium and left ventricle and has only two valve leaflets. Both valve leaflets help to flow blood from the left atrium to the left ventricle while preventing blood from flowing from the left ventricle to the left atrium.

Aortic valve

It has three valve leaves, allowing blood to flow from the left ventricle of your heart to the aorta. It is worth noting that the aorta is the largest blood vessel that humans have. The aorta will carry oxygenated blood from the heart to be distributed throughout the body.
